Updated my Dota Hero Board to 3.0.0 after many years It has a SHITLOAD of new features, like - import/export in-game hero grids - automatic generation of stats-based tier lists - also automatic generation of personalized grids - items in hero grids - custom portraits styles...

How many Steam games over 100 hours do you have I'm at 12, but to be fair a lot of g ames have seemingly low playtimes, but were played offline (e.g. Sonig Generations, Portal 2, Deus Ex, Borderlands 2) Top-5 on the list: - Dota 2 💀 - Spiral Knights - Underlords - Deadlock - Artifact Classic ...

Magically Dota on Arm works like a charm now. Used Ayn Thor and gamepad controls to play bot matches, watch some games and play Nest of Thorns a bit. After the most recent Steam update it got much better. Still no luck with Steam on Macbook+Linux though. Can't allocate memory.

anyway, worked as a panelist for a couple of days for the russian EWC broadcast, it was pretty exciting! happy to do more of that in the future

Leamare @lea.spectral.gg · 12/07/2026

Got myself a macbook for the 2nd time in my life and installed Linux on it. Also installed Linux to my Ayn Thor. Thoughts: - Steam for Arm runs genuinely well in some cases, but in other cases it runs worse than GameNative on Android - Dota and other Source 2 games on Arm SUCK

it's both funny, surprising and upsetting at the same time that I've only seen a single Doctor Who themed post card, but no other merch or anything. Almost like DW did not exist.

Honestly it's kind of wild that a device as capable as Ayn Thor, being on par with Switch 2 probably, is so small. Steam Deck helped me to start getting through my backlog, Thor took it to a whole another level.

...and accidentally bricked my n3ds while trying to repair the hinge 🥲 Well, not bricked, I think the ribbon cable on the opposite side got stuck somewhere and it can't load now. I think some additional repairs are in order, but I'm a bit too tired from messing with it.

Way back in the day a friend of mine introduced me to Nintendo stuff with Wii U and 3DS. And while I liked the concept of Zelda games, I didn't actually play any of them and didn't really understand the point of 3DS.

And speaking of retro handhelds: recently saw Anbernic RG DS for $60 and heard that the device became quite decent with the updates (and also with the custom firmware), so decided to give it a shot Some thoughts - It looks very nice actually. Reminds me of the early 3DS editions >>>

With all these retro consoles it feels like I'm compensating for not having any home or handheld consoles, or even a mobile phone for a very long time. Now, being an adult, I can just buy all the funny little retro handhelds in the worlds, even repair some of them. All that to never actually play.

As a distraction from work was fooling around with setting up Anubis on my server and gotta say, that went way smoother, especially considering what I was going for.

I streetpassed someone at TI10 on my 2DS and to this day I'm wondering, who that person was.

Leamare @lea.spectral.gg · 16/03/2026

Gotta say, I was nostalgic about 3DS and its vibes a lot recently, even got myself a New 3DS XL a year ago (as I only had a 2DS from way back). And in November I bought Ayn Thor. And DAMN that's a very good and versatile device.

One thing that changed in my life over the past five years is my connection to foreign friends. And it's not even because of the war and such, but rather I'm just always busy and not really present online. This, and me being bad at social interactions + social media fragmentation online

Finished Dicey Dungeons Very impressed by the later chapters of the game, my head is full of game design ideas Halloween and Reunion episodes are the best

Leamare @lea.spectral.gg · 03/03/2026

One day I'll be done with all the social networks fragmentation nonsense and will export all my blog posts from different platforms, combine them all into a single coherent history, add support for multilanguage posts, atproto and activitypub (and then I'll probably stop posting anything)

Soooo Polygon is now just blatantly using AI written articles. This is about Deadlock. There is no Grace, Abrams is noooot a nerd at all. And the AI is mixing streetbrawl with the normal mode. Declaring the MOBA (the word it could not find) as Hades (Rogue Lite) You disgust me.

A side note When I was in university, I was playing A LOT of stuff. Now I sort of have so much going on, that I rarely have mental capacity to play. But also I don't want to do it in front of PC. Steam Deck sort of solved the problem for a while, but it's still too big to get comfy sometimes.

Leamare @lea.spectral.gg · 26/02/2026

Current game rotation - Dota 2 is technically somewhere on the rotation, but didn't have much time to play it recently - ...same with Deadlock, but it's a hotter thing right now - wanted to play .hack//G.U. for a long time, started in 2019, put it on hold for a while, planning to finish it soon

Leamare @lea.spectral.gg · 21/01/2026

When I found my 2DS recently and was fascinated by the "vibes of the bygone era" of sorts, I didn't realize that in a year it will become the "2026 is the new 2016" trend And man, 2015-2018 sure was pretty fucking good

An old journal comic repost to remind myself that the time is now and I’m not stuck

Panel 1
A character looks at their phone, bombarded with scary, sad and bad news.
“I can’t tell if I’m in denial or just stubborn.”

Panel 2
Character pours themself a steaming cup of coffee.
“…but I don’t want to just give up.”

Panel 3
Character talks to someone on their laptop using their headphones.
“I want to keep doing what I can.”

Panel 4
Character sits at their desk drawing on a digital tablet connected to their laptop
“So that in the end I can be proud that I did the best I could with whatever time I had left.”
