Last year, I suddenly & unexpectedly lost my, younger by two years, sister. We often overlapped in what interested us & the books and movies we liked, but not always. Ellen recommended things to me that I never got around to. I wish I still had time to talk with her about them.

New stadiums do not improve team quality. Yes, attendance goes up, but it's short lived and the added revenue doesn't flow to team payroll.

“A new stadium in today’s baseball is transformational for a club,” MLB commissioner Rob Manfred told the Tampa Bay Times after Friday’s vote. “This has been a club that has kind of defied the odds in terms of how competitive they’ve been.
