2/4 For all those across the UK who have SCD and experience the associated pain, the LDCRE call for the government to improve services so that: • All hospitals to provide pain relief according to the NICE guidelines • There is more permanent funding for national specialist sickle cell services

It’s Sickle Cell Awareness Month! Sickle Cell Disease (SCD) can affect anyone, but it's much more common in people from certain ethnic backgrounds. In the UK, most people who carry the sickle cell trait have an African or Caribbean family background. 1/4 #SickleCellDiseaseAwareness
