Congress certified the Electoral College results on January 7, 2021. Isolated election crimes can occur; they are not the same as evidence that the national result was stolen.

To fellow railway nerds: I am told there is an overhead wire break somewhere between Rheine and Amersfoort. However, neither DB or NS have it in their map of track issues, so I can’t tell where. Does anyone know where the break actually is? Is it in Germany or the Netherlands?

I imagine the rest of the Dutch stops are done because this takes the regular slot of an NS IC between Enschede and Amsterdam, so if it didn’t stop it would mess up the clock face timetable every 2 hours? Idk if true, but I could imagine that this is the reason

This is the single biggest reason why I am unable to use Firefox everywhere. With Chrome I can bootstrap my password manager on a new device by scanning a QR code for a passkey. On Firefox I have to manually type a random 32 char string from my phone. That adds so much friction that I just don't.

You give them too much credit. These large organizations often do things “just because they’ve always done it like this”, even when there is no rational reason. Operating an elevator in a public place 24/7 is clearly not a problem, because all other countries can do it at their own train stations

So for those new to @railway.com: deploy basically anything in just a couple of seconds. Think a personal atproto PDS with persistent storage, a @tangled.org knot, or even a vibe coded (or meticulously hand written) site with postgres and a bucket. But really anything fits into a Docker container!
