Aside from all that, if she wants ONLY brick and mortar restaurants (a ridiculous position in LA), then the city should make it easier to get the requisite permits to operate a brick and mortar and help subsidize the tenants’ rent. Not everyone can afford to run a brick and mortar restaurant.

Also, I doubt that her claim that food trucks detract from restaurants’ business is true. If the food truck brings more foot traffic to the area, and makes the area safer, people in the community might have more of an incentive to check out the brick and mortar restaurants than before.

I had to complete an SF-86 and undergo a security clearance as a low level US government employee with no access to classified information. How is it that she can “decline” a security clearance? As far as I understood it, if there’s no security clearance, there’s no work with the US government.

My limited understanding of polling is that LV responses are a far more reliable indicator of the actual voter pool than RV polls…but that depends on how one defines a “likely voter.” It’s a competitive race, El Sayed has some work to do, but Mike Rogers is not offering much to sway voters now.

If, however, the settlement agreement is illegitimate / collusive, then a unilateral decision to rescind part of an illegitimate agreement has as little force and effect as the invalid “settlement.” For Trump, this is a heads I win, tails you lose situation. + he keeps his tax immunity.

IF the settlement agreement is legitimate (a BIG IF), one party cannot unilaterally rescind parts of the parties’ bargain that led to the agreement without breaching the agreement. Trump could then sue the US for breach of contract because he is not getting what he negotiated in the agreement. 1/

This is what I don’t understand. If I understand KY law correctly, the worst case scenario for Rs, if he dies before 8/3, is that Beshear calls a special election, and someone serves in the US Senate in McConnell’s place for maybe 4 months at most - with a lot of Congressional recesses in between.

ETA: candidates could reframe the AIPAC issue as a money-in-politics issue. Why is AIPAC so invested in these candidates? What does AIPAC expect to get out of its contributions?
