Eventually managed to read 'The Buddenbrooks' by Thomas Mann, the major reason that Mann won the Nobel Prize in Literature in 1929. Yes, quite lengthy but still worth reading. A glimpse into a different time. #bookrecommendation

After the lunch break, Torsten Struck presented a contribution by Tor A. Bakke, emeritus at NHM Oslo, 'Helminthological research at the Zoological Museum and the Natural History Museum since 1914.' Tor, unfortunately, could not participate and present himself due to health issues.

Just finished 'Irans moderne historie' by Hulda Kjeang Mørk. An easy to read introduction that I can highly recommend to those that wish to learn more about the country than what we use to hear in the day to day news. (the book is in Norwegian) #bookrecommendation #history
