I have been deliberating for like 2 weeks now on a song’s name. Whenever I put a name to something and it sticks around I have difficulty referring to it as anything else. I should just go with my gut and change it but it’s hard y’know.

I played through the three Toree games over the weekend and they were great! Each one is a satisfying mini-platformer and getting the trilogy for 5$ during a sale is a steal. Toree 2 was probably my favorite but 3D and Saturn were also great fun!

Also just to be clear I’m talking about what I assume is the original dialogue and script of the bs game. I don’t know japanese but the translation seemed to be pretty good and wasn’t distracting. The amount of times Peach was referred to as “that woman😒” was certainly strange.

…because I usually felt fatigued after an episode since they just would not shut up! The main thing that kept me around, though, were the voice actor performances. They really gave it their all and were a joy to listen too. I especially enjoyed clawgrip, peach, and mouser’s performance.

I finished playing through the english dub of bs mario usa last night and it certainly was a strange experience. The dialogue and script were there. I wouldn’t say it was good or bad but it existed. I do wish there was some breathing room between character dialogue…

I always tend to prefer that approach to level design over basic obstacle courses. The bosses are pretty fun too! I really wish this game kept the power ups from the original since I think it would remedy the excessive retries due to beginner’s trap or levels that feel incomplete and untested.

It’s the amount of retries you’ll attempt on those trash-fires that’ll make them feel like a chore, especially when going for 100%. I tend to like the experiments the game takes towards its level design. Areas feel like realized landscapes or locales. It’s not always perfect but

It’s annoying too since there are like 3 levels that are a miserable mess and unfortunately they’re towards the end of the game. I remember why I thought this game had longer levels. The reality is that it doesn’t for the most part. The size of levels are comparable to the original.

So I’m almost done getting through Yoshi’s Island DS and I would say I have a lot more appreciation for this game than I remember having for it when it came out. Though I can’t entirely blame my past self since the worst this game has to offer goes above and beyond the worst of the first game.

For context all the music I recorded up to and including “Where am I” was on audacity and given how rudimentary it was then I’m kind of surprised I was ever able to make anything with it. I probably won’t switch from my current DAW but it’s cool something like Audacity is improving!

Well after bashing my head in for several days backing up my pc through windows I learn the program is kind of worthless now due to some update from a few years back. I have to find another program now and I’m going to try Kopia since it’s open source and seems to have positive reviews.

I’ve been replaying Yoshi’s Island on gba and I’m surprised levels are so short. I remember them being really long. This was one of my first games so I might have looped through the same two rooms multiple times and not realized it lol. Aside from some screen crunch issues it’s been really fun!

I’ve only got two lol. Team Fortress 2 and VVVVVV. I still play TF2 every now and then. I’m actually happy with how much the community has improved recently. I just like VVVVVV a lot. I got every achievement in this game. I’m so far gone I think the super gravitron is a relaxing fun time.
