It's ok for the 66 to be a read you're not obligated to full send. That's why it's scary for Dizzy (and other characters even). Interacting is a risk and attempting to retreat/run away is also no guarantee of safety.

She can do it by pressing 66 and doing a2a j.P. Not really sure what I'm missing here. Also I'm not really seeing the big deal with Ray doing fire bubble from the height where grounded AAs whiff. If she pops the bubble immediately then it's too high to hit Millia 66. Is Ray just letting it linger?

Post-burst and post-dead angle fish still has a gap that you can play with. It's more advantageous for Dizzy but not guaranteed. I also feel like you're representing Millia needing to be close enough to stop fire bubble as a huge ask when it just isn't. The time and space she needs matters.

I just find it crazy to say that Millia is assuming all the risk while glossing over the commitment that is summoning laser fish (or anything else really) against Millia. Yes, it's strong once it's out but the hoops that Dizzy needs to jump through need to be acknowledged.

IMO the best thing people need to be using old JP footage for is learning matchups. It's a huge weakness for many intermediate-level players because they think they can only learn MUs by playing them. Having strong MU knowledge is a crucial part of top level play that often gets neglected.

There have been genuine developments with Xrd in recent years, but too many people make the mistake of thinking that "old" footage is now totally outdated and that we've surpassed that era of players somehow. Meanwhile rusty Summit barely lost to Ray less than two years ago lol
