There's a famous picture of a "we have all this in one device, now" and I probably had many of them - portable video camera, PDA, Radio, CD Player, Portable TV, microcomputer, mobile phone...

LazerFX @lazerfx.co.uk · 25/09/2026

That's only incidental - I had a pocket TV back in the day that was very similar (Though not exactly the same) as this. Tweak the dials and buttons a little, and you've got the layout on the game. I'm sure it's probably based on a real device, at least loosely.

Monument Valley 3, A beautiful game of exploration, puzzle solving in a reactive world. Less than 9% have completed the first main area, and only 10% of them have actually explored it enough to open the petals on flowers as you go past. Such a shame as so many are missing out on a beautiful gem.

A screenshot of achievements for monument valley - two are shown. The first is "Making A Splash" - Complete the hidden fens. Rare - 9% of players have. The second is "Botanist" - Open all of the lily flowers in The Hidden Fens - Rare - 1% of players have.

Thanks, appreciate you responding. Funds are tight, so I'll stick with 'works well enough' versus 'does exactly what I want' then :D

It'd be interesting to see a point-of-view for someone who already has a good ROM collection on a Steam Deck - is it worth it due to the second screen? How does the battery life compare between the two devices?

There's a Witcher 3 Remastered? How have I missed this? Also... why? That's a game that... doesn't need remastering, it's got a lovely art style.

I constantly flip flop between A3 and C3, with occasional glimmers of D3 that are then wiped out by some tech frat boys actions. Speaking specifically about LLMs, there - the actions of Deep mind and protein folding alone put that solidly in D3 or E3 levels...

Saw this meme and I did it. Opening line to Neuromancer.

Centered text reads “The sky above

Below are 3 versions of the same cityscape labeled 1985, 2005, 2025 with the background changing from grey static, to solid blue, to streaming service logos.

Did you know: The chainsaw in DOOM was modelled off of Tom Hall’s Eager Beaver chainsaw. It leaked oil, and so was kept in a bowl in the id offices. Tom still has it!💛 #DOOM #fps

I really don't know how this game got missed at the time. People look back at it as a great, but it was (at least as I recall) seen as a knock off GTA clone... I honestly think this is better than any of the GTA games.

There are so many theories and so much depth in that movie - I've watched it quite a few times, now, after my girlfriend (now wife) introduced me to it. It's a fascinating read... sort of like an SCP-based story before that was a thing.
