Climate change didn’t arrive as one great catastrophe. It just quietly became the background to their entire adult life.

Food prices have jumped after another failed harvest overseas. The NHS is struggling through another heatwave. Wildfires and floods that once looked extraordinary on the news barely register anymore.

Between 2025 and 2030, it’s likely that extreme heat could be associated with 8,000–18,000 excess deaths in the UK, and climate change is increasing the risk.

Just a reminder that in July she described him as “unambiguously mediocre” and compared him to a “modern-day Forrest Gump” and referred to him as a “useful idiot”. She suggested that his race, autism and personal history enabled his career and universities had suspended academic judgement.

Names like Intrepid, warspite, dreadnought, Ark Royal have been used since the middle ages. Also looking at ships mottos which can also tell you about the intent behind the name. Termagant's motto was "Untameable"

Lawrie @lawriephipps.co.uk · 07/08/2026
There were seven Royal Navy ships called Termagant, names carry on with their traditions (and their battle honours). The image is of the Ship's Crest, which also usually carries on from previous incarnations. The interesting thing here is if the Shrew was changed at some point from the original?

This came into my LinkedIn feed today. This guy is "bragging" that he has posted up to 900 posts he wrote with ChatGPT in the last 12 months on LinkedIn.
A screen shot of text that reads:

I’ve written 800–900 LinkedIn posts using ChatGPT since May 2025.

Which also means I’ve spent an unhealthy amount of time in front of a screen.

So recently, I switched to using ChatGPT voice mode while going for walks instead of typing prompts.

And honestly, I underestimated how good it is.

I now brainstorm ideas, refine posts, think through business problems, and dump random thoughts while walking.

Without trying too hard, it quietly added 1 to 1.5 hours of movement into my day.
