Thank you I hope this fix holds and I’m sorry to know yours left you feeling worse. Unless / until I’m totally incapacitated by pain I keep delaying. Once bitten twice shy as they say.

I am there with you for this. My lumbar L4/5 - S1 surgery needed doing twice, the second with both posterior and anterior hardware. My neck has 4 levels, C3-7 and the screws are ‘proud’, the very strange term for working themselves loose. I have been delaying the needed post/ant fix for 4 years.

I was projecting I guess, when a person is nice I often feel bad complaining or asking for another to help. It was difficult to learn to self advocate in these situations. Glad you do! We want to trust health professionals, but if no one calls people on it poor performance it continues.

Ow. I’m sorry! I have the same issue with blood draws and IVs and I always tell them in advance the most successful locations but many think they know better than the person who lives with the issue. 🤦🏽‍♀️ For surgery IV, I now INSIST on ultra-sounding. meds pushed through infiltrated IVs 😫
