made a daily practice slip for myself of reflections to ground my energy/spirit in everyday. wanted to share in case anyone else might find it helpful to have kita-san remind us how to stay tethered to our souls.

had this pulled up for my freelancing guide how topical indeed

A screenshot of a tumblr post.

From user radiqueer:
Human relationships are not transactional but they are reciprocal, which I think many of you with your ‘i don’t owe anyone anything’ shtick are too happy to forget.

From user aromanticduck:
Transactional: everything has to be exactly 50/50 all the time, pay me back for the £5 sandwich or buy me something worth exactly £5, I refuse to make an effort for you if there’s nothing in it for me

Reciprocal: you were there for me when I needed help, and I’m going to do the same for you, it doesn’t matter if one of us needs more or is capable of less, because the point is not equivalent exchange but mutual care

had to explain to a 10 yr old today why geto went rogue. really difficult to put in developmentally appropriate language why geto’s bitterness about spending his first half of life protecting non sorcerers culminated in him offing even his own parents 😅

i’ve been thinking abt the recent season & this reddit post a lot lately.. i feel like a cog in the therapy world these days like fighting the system is just so complex & sometimes you lose far more than you gain yet you try to keep going anyway

honestly the chainsaw man ending is actually philosophically and conceptually very similar to fma’s resolution with ed’s final choice. think about it.
