It's got time travel and pop culture references, a main character with raging unmedicated ADHD, solid friendships, a sweet sapphic love story, a small town scandal, found family, at least one dead body, and plenty of '80s nostalgia. I hope I'll see you at the con!

I'LL STOP THE WORLD is for anyone who was a teenager in the '80s, anyone who is a teenager now, anyone who remembers what it feels like to have EVER been a teenager, and anyone who has ever looked back on their life and thought, "what if things had been different?"

Hard to pick a favorite horrific detail from this article but I think this one is mine:
Screenshot that reads: "Poor Cybertruck sales mean that only 173 of the stainless steel pickup trucks will actually need to be recalled.

Ahead of the vehicle’s launch, Musk predicted that Tesla would be selling 250,000 Cybertrucks annually by 2025. The actual figure turned out to be just over 20,000 Cybertrucks sold last year."

Headed home from my first ever #DragonCon exhausted but happy. So much fun hanging with friends, meeting new ones, and getting to talk about books and stories and characters with passionate and talented people. If we hung out at all or if you enjoyed any of my panels, don’t be a stranger!

Happy #Juneteenth! Fig would like to remind you that one way to support Black-owned businesses, amplify Black voices, and learn from Black history is to read Black-authored books. They exist in every genre and age category, so no matter your taste, there’s bound to be something you’ll love.

I think my crocus is already on its way out, but I see other flowers beginning to set their buds for later blooms, hostas starting to peek out of the ground, shrubs beginning to wake up, pollinator favorites all putting out new leaves. I love this part. It always feels a bit like magic.

Boosting this at a busier time of day. Does anyone know anything? To be clear, I’m asking about the man/group behind this planned boycott. Here are just a few of the images I’ve seen shared about it. I don’t need info about the boycott itself; my question is about the organizer(s).

I may be stepping into a minefield but does anyone know ANYTHING about the founder of The People’s Union, John Schwarz, outside of the fact that he’s behind the 24-hour economic boycott at the end of the month? Screenshots from his “About” page on TPU’s site below. 1/3
A photo of a white man in glasses looking into the camera under the heading “THE PEOPLE’S UNION USA”Screenshot of text that reads “Over the years, I ran multiple businesses, worked in management, and eventually became a professional online drum instructor for the world’s largest online drum school, Drumeo, But my lessons weren’t just about drumming, they were about life. About the mind. About breaking free from limitations.
I started meditating when I was six years old, not because someone taught me, but because I needed a way to escape the pain of my home life. And over the years, that practice deepened. Eventually, I walked away from everything else and dedicated my life to meditation, mindfulness, and guiding others. I became certified in multiple disciplines and have spent years helping people awaken to something bigger than themselves.”Screenshot of text that reads “And that’s when it all became clear.
Everything I had felt since I was a child, that this system is rigged, that we are being used, that human beings were not born to be industrial slaves, was true. And it didn’t matter what religion, spiritual belief, or political affiliation someone had. The system is designed to keep all of us trapped.
That is why I started The People’s Union USA. Because I believe we deserve better. Because I believe it is possible to break free from a system built to exploit us. Because I know that if we stand together, we don’t just demand change, we create it.
This is just the beginning. And if you believe in something greater, then stand with me.”
