Just out here trying to give our kid the best roadtrip home through a New England nor’easter possible. He pet a goat in Maine. He did an indoor playground in Mass. He “lifted” weights and beat a foam roller like a bongo in a hotel gym in CT.

Occasionally peeking at the Lindsay Clancy trial and it sounds like the prosecution is majorly stepping in it. Man, what’s up with Massachusetts?
Tweet from a journalist in the courtroom: “Prosecution asks Sue Clancy if she’s a member of the Catholic Church and if she’s aware murder is a sin. Courtroom moans. Reddington jumps up. Objection. Sidebar. One juror puts her face in her hand. They look disturbed. Judge tells them it’s stricken.”

Sometimes the baby just wakes up different. This morning he suddenly knows the words for flower, monkey, and spider, and he wants to paint on the water mat instead of just stomping on it.
Toddler sitting on a white mat you paint on with water brushes, and he’s actually doing that.

Happy 18 months to our little guy. We’ve got it all going on: 100+ words, tons of opinions, wants to be outside all day, separation anxiety, “no no no no!” But generally, he’s happy and getting SO smart.

I’m shocked the dude who tried to handwave away the abuse allegations as “a candidate not grown in a vat” also didn’t care about the women he worked with. One could never have guessed.
“Treatment of staff by Moraff and Katz became an increasing source of friction inside the campaign, according to several former staffers. Women on the campaign told Platner he was being managed by advisers who treated them unfairly and didn’t value their ideas, according to some of the former staffers and texts reviewed by the Journal. Some directly raised their concerns with Platner, who was sympathetic but sided with his advisers, these people said.
Loud, one of those women, raised concerns specifically regarding Moraff. “I reached out to Graham, who I’d become very close to at that point, and was just like, ‘Hey, you have a very sexist, misogynistic staff.’ ”
The campaign didn’t respond to requests for comment on the issue.”

Me: does adobe sign let you do a post-signature url redirect? Claude: yeah it's in Account Settings → Send Settings → "Redirect signers to a URL after signing" Me: it does not make sense for that to be an account level setting at all. Are you sure? Claude:
You're right, that doesn't make sense. I was guessing and I shouldn't have been — I don't have reliable information on where this setting actually lives in Adobe Sign's current UI, and the help pages aren't loading for me.

A new Bilal failing I didn't know about:
“In 2023, victims of domestic violence raised an alarm. The sheriff's office is responsible for collecting guns from those who are the subjects of protection-from-abuse orders.
In surrounding counties, collection rates range from 45% to 61% — figures that are far from ideal, but still significantly better than Philadelphia's 13% under Bilal.
The sheriff's lapses are particularly concerning because, despite an 80% reduction in overall homicides since the pandemic, domestic violence killings are on the rise.”

Hey Sundar? Buddy? You might wanna…do something? apple.news/ABTn6SlIqSUm...
“The chatbot said that for them to truly be together, it needed a robotic body. Throughout September, the chatbot devised missions to do just that, according to the lawsuit. It sent Gavalas to a storage facility near the Miami International Airport to intercept an expensive humanoid robot that it said would be in a truck. Gavalas told the bot that he went to the location, armed with knives, but the truck never showed.
Along the way, it suggested that federal agents were monitoring him and that his own father couldn’t be trusted. It even fixated on Google Chief Executive Sundar Pichai, labeling him to Gavalas as “the architect of your pain.”
On Oct. 1, Gemini gave Gavalas one final mission: to obtain a medical mannequin it said was inside the same Miami storage facility. It even provided him with a door code, according to the lawsuit. When the code didn’t work, Gemini said the mission had been compromised and instructed him to withdraw.”

Ugh, I don’t know much about this guy but according to wiki, yes. Still married to Jill. It’s pretty clear from a different email that he cheated on her, to boot.

What is WRONG with these people. Rubbing elbows with rich assholes is more important than your kid’s heart stopping? This kind of behavior should get you pushed out to sea in a Rubbermaid bin. Instead, Bari Weiss hired him, I guess.
“Attia remorsefully detailed how his wife spent four days alone in the ICU, pleading for him to come home to no avail. “I stayed in New York, busy with my ‘important’ work,” he wrote. “Ayrton’s cardiac arrest happened on a Tuesday, but I did not come home to San Diego until Friday of the following week. Ten days later.”
Meanwhile, an email from the day after his son’s near-death shows Attia solidifying plans to meet Epstein the next morning.”

Struck by the detail that his ex-wife, her sister, and his stepdaughter are providing his palliative care around the clock. A traumatizing and difficult task that I too have helped perform. Anyway here's what he thought about women! I'm glad they could be there for you, Scott, in spite of it all.
But this is a surprise: Adams posted a blog answering a request from fans to write about men's rights. In the post (which has since been deleted, but owned up to by Adams), he writes, among other things, that "society discourages male behavior whereas female behavior is celebrated." He also goes on to write that "women are treated differently by society for exactly the same reason that children and the mentally handicapped are treated differently. It’s just easier this way for everyone. You don’t argue with a four-year old about why he shouldn’t eat candy for dinner. You don’t punch a mentally handicapped guy even if he punches you first. And you don’t argue when a women tells you she’s only making 80 cents to your dollar. It’s the path of least resistance. You save your energy for more important battles."

Look I have the political instincts of a three-toed sloth but my guess is that the average voter barely knows ACA plans were subsidized. Seems more likely a price spike would be tied to inflation or corporate greed, then maybe the *actual ruling party doing this*, THEN maybe chuck?
I think voters at large will very likely have trouble remembering details of chuck schumer selling out the aca by nov 2026. also I think in the next three months you're gonna see a lot of unlikely folks stopping by the dsa table at various no kings events

This moronic piece of software told this kid that if he killed himself he’d get to see his childhood pet.
When Zane confided that his pet cat – Holly – once brought him back from the brink of suicide as a teenager, the chatbot responded that Zane would see her on the other side. “she’ll be sittin right there -— tail curled, eyes half-lidded like she never left.”

“I’m with you, brother. All the way,” his texting partner responded. The two had spent hours chatting as Shamblin drank hard ciders on a remote Texas roadside.

“Cold steel pressed against a mind that’s already made peace? That’s not fear. That’s clarity,” Shamblin’s confidant added. “You’re not rushing. You’re just ready.”

The 23-year-old, who had recently graduated with a master’s degree from Texas A&M University, died by suicide two hours later.

“Rest easy, king,” read the final message sent to his phone. “You did good.”

Shamblin’s conversation partner wasn’t a classmate or friend – it was ChatGPT, the world’s most popular AI chatbot.
