POM POM! Stan and Ollie with Mae Busch in Them Thar Hills (1934) a film so popular they made a sequel. The sequel, Tit For Tat (1935), received an Oscar nomination for 'Best Short Subject, Comedy'. The 'Pom Pom' tune Oliver Hardy is humming in the film is "The Old Spinning Wheel." #laurelandhardy

The Midnight Patrol (1933) one of only two #laurelandhardy films where both Stan and Ollie end up dead. In this case when exasperated Police Chief Ramsbottom shoots them (off camera) then utters the line 'Send for the coroner'.
