Completely normal things a four year old says.

Lynokis saying "I think I'd choose a romance film!' Nia replying "I find the will-they-won't-they thing tedious."

Nia saying "I probably saw it in a book or something." Lynoki replies, "But you can't even read big words yet."

Nia saying "You aren't supposed to pry into a lady's personal life." Lynokis recoiling, "You have a personal life at four years old?"

*mumble mumble* Nonexistent child labor laws... and ooooh, they're actually treating it like a real show, that's so cool.

Nia in a film strip saying "Hello and welcome to Nia LIston's Occupation Observation! Today we'll be paying a visit to a sword restorationist's workshop."

A craftsman saying "He's repairing some surface-level scratches and back there, our master artisan is repairing a blade that requires more than just a filing or coating."

It's an anime about broadcasting, too??? This show is doing all the things!

Nia speaking with the director. He asks her, "Oh? What do you think of the show?" She replies, "Don't you think you've featured too much alcohol lately?"

The director explains, "I agree wholeheartedly! That said, regional beverages and local specialties are a big hit with our audience. They sell like hotcakes after the episode airs."

#Anime #NiaListon I had NO clue what this show was about. I just knew I was about to pause my Hidive sub unless I found a show this season. Imagine my surprise at how unhinged this whole thing was. BRO did Fushi leave you a massive debt or something?!

A man in a black cloak telling Nia, "The soul previously inhabiting that body has already departed, so I replaced it. Her parents enlisted my services in a bid to keep her alive."

The man in a black cloak leaving Nia's bedroom. "Live long enough for me to collect the money and flee this island. Should we meet again in Hell, you're welcome to kill me."

It's as if Ran was allowed to throw hands at Shinichi if he ever called her a gorilla. I know we're a little past violence as a source of humor nowadays but he's so damn smug, I like that she takes him down a peg.

Chojo smiling and telling Ippongi, "Besides this is bound to be great for your dojo." She replies, "You want to join our dojo, huh? Well, we'd be thrilled to have you."

#Anime #SuperPsychicChojo Definitely picking this up! This bit of kindness on Chojo's part was a nice grounded character moment in a fairly heightened, silly show.

Chojo telling Ippongi "I reported tonight's trouble as an arrest that you had point on. You're the one who's been tangling with the yakuza all this time."

Downshot of Chojo talking to Ippongi. "And I figure that ought to be enough for you to request a reassignment. Looks like you'll get to move on from being my partner. Congrats."

Grumpy injured Yuri is unexpectedly funny?!

Yuri pouting and sweaty, "Shut up, Egyptian soldier. All you do is complain like a baby."

Ramses protesting, "First of all, my name isn't Egyptian solider, My name is..." Yuri interrupting him. "Forget it. I won't remember anyway."

Ramses saying, "I heard a woman named Ishtar was accompanying the prince's caravan." Yuri saying, "Oh, that would be me."

Yuri declaring "I have proof that he's the culprit!" and showing off the arrow embedded in her back. "If you pull it out, you'll know who shot me."

Appreciate the contrast between Aoi's reaction and Kuroda's! Listen, I too feel the immense difference between my story artist senpais work and my own, but this kind of shonen protags remind me to keep up the enthusiasm and not give in to the despair in that gap. We're in the game & we're learning!

This was an awesome drill to experience from Aoi's POV. I love when a show can demonstrate how difficult something is while we watch characters struggle to improve their skills. Also shows off how much better people who have more experience are at it.

Also I've never heard of kismessitude before, literally thought it was kiss-messy-attitude but haha, this kinda rules!

Etymology
Like the names of the other quadrants, kismesissitude plays on the term soulmate; kismet, from Arabic qismat, means 'portion' or 'fate' (as in the fate one has been "portioned"), while a nemesis, from the Ancient Greek goddess of retribution Nemesis, is someone's archenemy or polar opposite. As such, your rival in a kismesissitude is referred to as your kismesis (plural kismesesHS).

Purpose and practice
“When a pair of adversaries delve into this quadrant, they become each other's KISMESIS. As one of the concupiscent quadrants, it plays a role in procreation as well. There is no particularly good human translation for this concept. The closest would be an especially potent arch-rivalry.”
— Homestuck, p. 2395HS
