Emergence II explores the power of origin and transformation. Hand-built in stoneware, its organic, egg-like form evokes the primal symbolism of creation—something new rising from the remnants of what went before. laura-timmis-art-ceramics1.odoo.com/shop/categor... #ceramics #ceramicart #pottery

Emergence (I) - Emergence is the first in a series of sculptural stoneware ceramic vases that look at ideas of origin and emergence - using an egg like form to symbolise birth from the earth. #ceramics #ceramicart #sculpture #art #vases #pottery

Dark grey stone like globular vase with a cracked top like it has been broken open.

Pot of the day - Early Bronze Age Chinese cooking pot. Either Qijia or Xindian culture (approx 1700-1250 BCE). This example has a rather interesting decoration - I will leave the interpretation up to your own imaginations 🤣 Image credit - trocadero #pottery #archeology #bronzeage #china #history

I refuse to chain myself to a rigid posting schedule. If my soul has nothing to say, I’d rather wait in silence until it does. That's what my new piece on Substack explores: how the weight of expectation—from endless comparison to hustle culture—can suffocate creativity. #ceramics #art #creativity

I'm experimenting with different ways to create a lava like texture. I've applied a white terra sigillata to a bisque body and brushed on a mix of white vinegar and bicarb. The surface clay has bubbled nicely but will the texture survive being fired? #ceramics #pottery #clay #terrasigillata
