Some days, you spend all day working on a cat, because even though you have 3, you forget how to draw a cat. Has anyone studied the effects of menopause brain fog on illustrators? Just so we’re clear, I’m not asking for a friend… #illustrator #kidlit #kidlitart #menopause #brainfog

Nothing says “cozying up to spooky season” like a good, gothic cover. What’s everyone reading right now? I just started “The Once and Future Witches” by Alix E. Harrow and I’m finding it to be the perfect addition to my morning coffee. #illustration #coverart #coverdesign #bookcover #coverartist

Challenging myself to put in the work to get the work I want, so there’s no better way to start a daily art intention than with a middle-grade, Halloweenie scene. Will this become cover art? Interior art? Stay tuned! #kidlit #kidlitart #middlegradebooks #illustrator #illustration

Just got back from a dream vacation to Italy and France. An absolute highlight for me was shopping for art supplies in person at Magasin Sennelier in Paris. I could have spent all day lost inside, but time doesn’t stop and I had to choose… #sennelier #illustrator #carandache #paris #artist #kidlit

This is 43… 42 wasn’t a fabulous year. But, I have high hopes and big goals for 43: will it be the year I finally break into the publishing world with my writing or illustration? (Just keep swimming, right?) Here’s to another birthday and another year. #kidlit #kidlitart #illustrator #scbwi

Industry friends, I need your help. I joined LinkedIn this week and was locked out of my account today. After verifying my identity, I received this message. Has this ever happened to any of you? What did you do? I don’t know why I’ve been locked out. #kidlit #kidlitart #illustrator #scbwi
