I ordered a bathing suit for my kid online and got an email saying it's out stock, but would I like a surprise substitution? I was polite but wtf, unless a discount is involved why would anyone go for this? It seems wild to even ask. Maybe I'm just cranky (I'm definitely feeling cranky)

When I interview people I often offer to buy them coffee because I want some and don't have time in my day otherwise, and I don't want to be rude. Perhaps people will now see this as some kind of test 🤨

I should probably add that I got a very good education there and had access to great resources and research opportunities, I did not realize what a privilege that was at the time But there are definitely a lot of rich kids there to party, just waiting to be handed a job

Reading a book and this may be the first time I've seen my alma mater (Bucknell University) in fiction. Gotta love that it's about an obnoxious rich family and comes up in reference to a character who apparently burned down the lacrosse locker rooms 😂 One. Hundred. Percent. On. Brand.

I felt the same way, but a lot of people don't remember or weren't paying attention. Any time I say I would never let my kid play tackle football, other parents seem genuinely surprised and sometimes don't believe me about the CTE. It's wild

Sort of, I found a new (to me?) menu that worked but it's a weird workaround. I wound up having to update my OS in order to use Zoom, and then updated Microsoft hoping it would be fixed but it still didn't work right 🤷‍♀️

I did find a weird menu I have never seen before that opens next to the Copilot button (my most favoritest, most useful button ever, I love how easy it is to hit it without even trying!!!!!1!) So I can stop sending emails from my phone now 😂

It's wild when you see one stretch out their neck, because then you're like OH that IS a heron! But since they are shorter and stockier it definitely is not obvious otherwise. I am sure I have seen others and assumed they were some other kind of waterfowl. They're neat!

Ours likes to chill out on a specific rock in the middle of the creek so he (I think? Not as obvious as other birds to me) is on display and not so much at risk of getting spooked, thankfully! But if duck or geese flap a lot nearby he is off like a rocket, he very much enjoys his peace.
