Got a mailer about our school board race, from Debby Pope's opponent, funded by "INCS Action." They assume most people won't Google that (and they're, sadly, probably right) but it stands for the Illinois Network of Charter Schools. Anyone funded by that group does NOT support public education.

Here's another idea: malpractice insurance but for cops. If you're found liable for certain kinds of misconduct then your insurance pays the claim and your coverage rate which comes out of your salary goes up.
