I don’t know what level of home care the NHS provides these days. She and George have a huge extended family though, I’m surprised she was alone so much in the first few days. Susan was fantastic but I’d expect Emma and Clarrie to be checking in with her too, as well as Annemarie.

I think George and Christine moved to Woodbine, which was conveniently empty, after Clive torched the Police House. The PH was rebuilt but C couldn’t face going back. So I think that must have been when they sold it and bought Woodbine. The PH was renamed Greenacres and bought by Jimmus. #TheArchers

It still raises lots of questions, though. The cottage was Jill’s. Possibly wise from an IHT perspective for her to sell it and give proceeds to S & E, or transfer it to them. But why would it make sense for R & D/Brookfield to buy from her? #TheArchers 1/2

And PLEASE can we get it right this time and use “staycation” to mean “holidaying at home”, not “holidaying in Britain”. We have a term for the latter, which is “holidaying in Britain”. “Holibobs”, wherever they are taken, remains a capital offence.

At the heart of this is a professional librarian, who was providing a safe space for students exploring their identities, informing and supporting them and letting them know that they were seen and not alone. But it is she, not school management, who has been deemed a safeguarding risk 😡😢
