Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 02/10/2026Occasionally, I am filled with audacity and think to myself, "Fuck masking. I'm going to rizz 'em with the 'tism." I rarely have the courage to follow through with that. It's worked out OK most of the time, surprisingly. 010
Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Mental health is not a fair fight, so use whatever it takes to get the upper hand. If "everyone else is an imposter, too, and I demand a share in the scam" gets you past imposter syndrome, so be it. 011

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 24/08/2026I keep seeing videos labeled as someone taking down Flock camera, but I didn't see anyone doing that in any video. And neither did you. 010
Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 21/08/2026If you think one man can be more manly than another man, that means you believe gender exists on a spectrum. 020
Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 13/08/2026I saw this chart, which paints an "inevitability of AI" picture very clearly. But, I'm left to wonder how much money was put into each model. We know that all AI investment has gone exponential. I think that would be reflected if it were graphed and that we are seeing ever diminishing returns. 010
Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 13/08/2026A weird thing about eugenicists, and why you should always side against them, is that they never have any interest in gene therapy or advancing the quality of human genetics, which you could be forgiven for thinking is the natural conclusion. 120

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 27/07/2026I got to ask a fighter pilot if roller coasters were incredibly boring to them. The answer is no for interesting reasons. He was used to incredibly high g-forces, but at relatively low impulses. Roller coasters tend to jerk you around a lot more, with high impulses at low g-forces. 011

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 19/07/2026I don't understand how the internet can have such perfect information on me and be so bad at using it. I bought a gaming chair. Now, every advertisement source is convinced I have a new hobby of collecting gaming chairs. 030
Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 18/07/2026I am so sick and tired of hitting what I am absolutely certain is my limit and not getting a brand new health bar, title, and new powers. Instead, it's just new levels of burnout and no boss transformation. 110

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 12/07/2026A friend of mine ran the numbers as best he could and determined that 1 horsepower is equivalent to 300 duckpower. His math was based on the observed maximum climb rate of mallards when taking off and the average weight of a mallard. 010

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 09/07/2026It took a long time to break down all the conditioning to get to the point where I can say this: I genuinely like being autistic. I wish the world were more sympathetic, rather than wishing I was less symptomatic. 110
Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 06/07/2026The wake-up call for me to get out of AAA game development was Modern Warfare 2. I didn't work on it, but I saw that the game made $310M on the first day and the entire team still got laid off. 290

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 02/07/2026"Fuck it" is often more motivating than "I can do this" before attempting something because the former allows for failure with no judgement on your character. It induces less anxiety. 010

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 28/06/2026I figured out what's bugging me about Hades 2. Hades 1 was character driven and the stakes weren't particularly high, so there was plenty of room for the characterization to come through. 2, however, has such incredibly high stakes that there isn't room for as much characterization. 100

Lat @lattlesnake.bsky.social · 26/05/2026A weird thing about Steam is that the reason they are so successful now is that they have the ability to do nothing. So many companies are ruining themselves because of the need to make the line go up. Doing nothing is sometimes the best option. 020
