This is the smallest kitten's first day back on the front porch, having been dropped off on the back porch by CQ, apparently to be raised by Maman, who had 2 spring kittens and 5 summer kittens of her own. It all looks suspiciously like CQ attempted to cheat-win their most-kittens contest by sending in a sneezy kitten to infect Maman's group. Meanwhile, another tomcat has been successfully TNR'd but CQ & Maman remain elusive and fertile.

Le Petit Monsieur is very puzzled about why these last two mice can't seem to pick up the skill of using the litter box. He has successfully trained all 27 of the other mice to do it; you will not find a single catnip mouse dropping anywhere, except from these two. #catboxsunday #catsofbluesky

Kitten update: Little Stripey doesn't get to hang out with friends much now, as its mom (Carnival Queen) pressed it into kitten-sitting duty in the garage. It comes & eats on the front porch sometimes with CQ & her friends. The BW ones left when the new litter arrived, but have returned & seem good.

Three kittens at about 3 months old (one gray-and-black striped tabby from Carnival Queen's first litter this year, two black-and-white siblings from Maman's first litter this year), pose together on top of a derelict TV on a porch. A black railing (partly wrapped in plastic) and a lot of greenery can be seen behind them. All three are looking directly at the camera, although this was taken through the window and zoomed in so as not to bother the skittish kittehs.

Five kittens from Maman's 2nd litter this year are lounging, playing, and trying to sleep in a cardboard box they've commandeered from some older kittens. There is one tortoiseshell, two orange boys, one black, and one Siamese mix. They are about 4.5 weeks old at this point.

That was just too much and he'd rather take his chances with the big winds, thank you very much. But maybe a nice quiet room with a little food and a clean litter box? That would suit him. He really wasn't meant for the outdoors.
He seemed very happy with his room with the big windows, TV, music, & endless supply of cat toys, even if it meant his human gave him medicine and took him to the vet a lot (he was FHV+ and eventually needed treatment for hyperthyroidism, then diabetes).

Pirate Kitty's 1st vet appt was hard (1st vaxes, infected eyes & ears, etc). But PK was very brave & got a purple mousie from the vet. It was treasured & made many vet trips with PK until one day we couldn't find it. Today Le Petit Monsieur found it & returned it to PK! 💜🐁 #catsofbluesky
