Reading this brilliant paper by J. Vanderbiesen and thinking: 1. I must find the time to write my "reported discourse is a spectrum" paper; 2. Academia has lost/is losing many brilliant researchers working on the topics I love (reported discourse, historical newspapers) and I am furious about it
