I'm reminded of buses in Seattle headed *south* from Ballard (and other points north of downtown) showing "Uptown" as their destination. Confusing for folks who don't know that the area a bit west of Seattle Center *calls itself* "Uptown" because "Lower Queen Anne" (the name on maps) doesn't please

When I was young and fit, after getting off work at 11pm, I would ride my bicycle up Seattle's Capitol Hill to reward myself with 2 orders of Dick's fries. I'm glad those folks are taken care of. btw, Seattle folks sometimes forget how funny "bag of Dicks" sounds, or pretend to

At the Seattle Asian Art Museum, I laughed when I realized that I could actually read these very large scrolls! It was much harder to realize that up close, but upon backing up, it becomes clearer. 1/2
Two scrolls hanging side-by-side with characters that at first resemble Chinese calligraphy but are actually stylized English words. On the left, "Moving Forward In Time" and, smaller, "Xu Bing" (the artist's name).
On the right, "Learning From The Past" and, smaller, "For Seattle Art Museum".
