New video is out! It's way shorter than usual, which is a nice change, and just a little something to tide people over while I'm on holiday. Go get Super Battle Golf, it's a really fun time. youtu.be/Pg-caYUw9s8

The a mount of comments complaining that out "lovely slice of life" has gone to shit because people cannot read that this is an announcement for a con is unbelievable. Where did the reading comprehension go? Or just the reading?! Nvm I'm ranting

I made this cover over the course of roughly a month, on and off, for a really good Laika: Aged Through Blood fanfiction called Rin: Cursed By Blood! Had a great time making it and I think it is one of my best works yet. Sorry for the radio silence! Been super busy.

Lil bit of fanart for Rin: Cursed by Blood! Fantastic fanfic and a must read if you're a Laika: Aged Through Blood fan :]

Three colored sketches of three anthropomorphic female characters featured in the Laikaverse story Rin: Cursed by Blood. From left to right an older gazelle woman with a sniper rifle, Pebble. A coyote with a revolver and the same iconic outfit from the game, the titular Rin, and a muscular wolf with a grenade launcher, Seethree.

Recently learned you could embed images into AO3 so I decided to spend some time working on this. It's a cover for a fanfic of a recent brainworm called LAIKA: Aged Through Blood. Sharing for posterity's sake. Beware, big spoilers for the game itself in here! archiveofourown.org/works/83762211

hi everyone. while the industry's still hellbent on calling anyone who makes /weird/ games "not a real dev" @baftagames.bsky.social decided that maybe people making things with three quid and a piece of string know what they're talking about, actually i'm part of bafta breakthrough 2025

Game developer Stanley loved playing The Sims as a child, not because of what happens in the game but because, in simulating life, it allowed him to concoct his own narratives for the varied characters within its fantasy world. One Games Design & Production BSc later, Stanley has been channelling that love for storytelling into his own authored games. Creating the writing, art, coding and almost everything else himself, often on the micro-est of microbudgets.

Stanley’s breakthrough project, LATEX, LEATHER, LIPSTICK, LOVE, LUST (2024), is as provocative and explicit in discourse as it is in title. A beautifully written, transgressive work of interactive fiction, it leans into Stanley’s own experiences of the trans masculine and online space and its multi-layered narrative earned him the 2024 New Media Writing Prize. He’s currently a PhD student at the University of Salford and working on his next solo game, CHILDREN OF HELL.

In their own words…

“Because I’m trans, I thought I would be overlooked for BAFTA Breakthrough, because we always are, but I decided to do the application anyway. I didn’t think it would go anywhere, and now it’s a reality I want to make the most of it. But I want to stress how I am, in many ways, an exception. I wanted to strike out and do my own thing against what the mainstream is doing, and I was just fortunate enough to be born middle class and have a support network that let me do that. We should be here and we’re often not, especially because we’re making weirder, more experimental games than mainstream gaming, and hopefully I can champion and elevate the people who brought me here. That’s how I want to make the most of it.”

My steam name Homosexual Intent continues to operate as an efficient salt farm. I down people in ARC RAIDERS who use their last breath to say ‘you’re a f**got’. Yes my friend, I am exactly that, astute observation, you’re still going back to the main menu.

I highly recommend the series. Especially as it progresses, I find myself heavily invested in the exploration of retribution and morality, facilitated by the concise and effective character writing. After I'd voraciously consumed the fourth book, I found the story drifting into my mind at odd hours.

From book two onwards, there's body horror, blood, guts, and evil magic parasites galore! Perfect for October! 🎃 The action scenes are always both stressful and a blast, and there's LGBT rep, too! The character writing is also great stuff. These dudes all feel real and flawed! (2/3)
