Being an American in the UK on Thanksgiving is kinda cool. I can peacefully celebrate the day without peer pressure or questions about why I'm not suffering through a meal with people I hate. I can actually sit in a private and quiet space of gratitude, hang with my husband, and eat whatever I want.
