I've been so quiet! Hope everyone is well. My last post was centered around needing to get in shape. Over the last 8 weeks I've been working out like crazy, building my first mobile app (centered around breweries in Colorado), and playing World of Warcraft. Meet my gnome monk, Garyballsack

Rescuing a dog was the hardest but most rewarding things Ive done in my life. When I first got Brooklyn I was Living in an apartment in downtown Baltimore. Rushing home at lunch to let her out only to find my apartment door scratched up because of her separation anxiety. (Continued)

Some thoughts on the marvel rivals balance changes so far. Overall I’m impressed with NetEases appetite for change and their ability to execute. It feels like almost all of the characters can thrive at high levels when played well and mastered. The changes they make are creative too. (Continued)

It is Steam Next Fest! Has anyone played any demos that are worth while? We played "Deliver at all costs" on stream Tuesday (your boys been streaming like a mad man). Next week we're going to start a few of the streams with more demos. Send me recommendations! THIS TIME IS THE BEST

DevLog #19 I have been working like crazy getting zombie models put together for our tower defense video game. Levels 1-25 will be all zombies (with orcs levels 26-50, demons 51-75, and dragonkin 76-100). The zombies will get increasingly buff as players approach level 25.

Wrapped up season 1.0 placing GM3 again (same as season 0). Despite the same placement I feel much better than last season, I almost made it into GM2 before dropping back down. I think season 1.5 is the time we try and push GM1

DevLog #18 for our Tower Defense video game. We've created two new towers that will be our first primitive ranged tower and its first upgrade. We've also refactored how our towers detect enemies (now using ray casts instead of a collider which was getting in the way of selecting towers to upgrade).

Streamed with an unbuttoned shirt today to show off my tan from Arizona and had some shots. We started the stream off playing the demo for Deliver At All Costs (pretty fun!) then wrapped going 2-1 in Marvel Rivals. First time playing since the 1.5 balance changes.

About to board my flight back home to Colorado. AZ was a much needed break. Didn’t take a lot of pics but played poker, took robo taxis, golfed, day drank, and did a lot of chilling by the pool. This week will be a full schedule on my twitch! Marvel Rivals mom/fri, game dev wed, tft tues, tbd thurs

Big changes to Marvel Rivals come mid-season 1 (link in thread). Huge nerfs to strategists. Time to build Luna, Loki, Cloak/Dagger, Invisible girl ultimates increased. Hulk/Ironman combo nerfed, Slight nerfs to strange/magneto. Hawkeye, MisterFantastic, Black Widow, Groot, Captain buffs.

DevLog #17 for our tower defense game. We have tower upgrades!! You can now select a tower, when you do it pulsates to show which tower you've selected and an upgrade button appears. When you select the upgrade button the tower transforms into an upgraded version with stronger attacks.

My .02 on the NetEase (Marvel Rivals) game dev layoffs. Realistically, the game is now released and stable, so you no longer need the massive team that built the game from scratch anymore. Just a smaller dedicated team to continue with seasonal game updates, content releases, patches. (continued)

DevLog #16 we've added melee towers into the game! We're going to shift the elemental towers that currently exist to further out into the game and let players tech into them. We're going to start the game off with some more primitive tower types w/ potential upgrades like this melee tower!
