oldie (but relevant again) (maybe) (???)

(during the Eden storyline) Ryne asks the warrior of light, "What was Shiva like? What do you think of when you think of ice?"

an image of memories of ysayle reflected in shards of ice - her determination, her shattered hopes, beefing with Estinien, adoring moogles - and, in the center, our last memory of her, falling through the skies

The warrior of light covers his face, unable to reply. "I don't know what Shiva was like," he thinks, "When I think of ice I think of my friend."

The Cultural Void of Final Fantasy XVI’s Dhalmekia

The problem is that Dhalmekia — the only non-white nation in the base game — is all surface, no substance.

Grass whistles #FFT #FFTactics #art

A digital painting of Ramza and Alma from Final Fantasy Tactics. They are sitting together in the grass. Alma is blowing on a grass blade, and Ramza is holding a strand of grass in his hands, about to do the same. Behind them are two saddled chocobos, their mounts. The landscape behind them shows a line of trees against a sunset sky.

cálei is 6'0" (183cm). reis is 6'3" (190cm) but iirc it doesn't include her ears. technically cálei is shorter in game, but my imagination knows no bounds.

i've been reading a lot of FFXVI fic recently and really enjoying it... the story of the game has flaws for sure (especially in execution) but dang if i don't find this worldbuild compelling. honestly the entire concept of Dominants is fascinating to me as a FF fan...

the first boss in vanaspati having half-arena attacks called 'what is right' and 'what is left' because of the wordplay for which direction its attack will hit but also the actual questions being asked bc the world is ending, call it lame but i've always thought that was neat
