One week I have had to work back on the mainline. 100% of the trips “LGBTQ” has been brought up by my conductors in derogatory and negative ways. I’m tired.

Ok. Yup. YES. I made the correct choice’s on these kits. First pic is for reference! Was very stressful putting these on, and not perfect. But still looks good!

Wow. I decided for giggles that I wanted to take the Mustang out for a night drive to see its headlights and what not. I haven’t been so zen… and just. In the moment in so long. I forgot how much having a drivers car meant to me. It feels so damn good and grounding for me. You did good Ford.

The anxiety is always such a horrible thing, especially with sleep. I feel you there so much But you got this! You won’t mess anything up ^.=.^ and even if things aren’t perfect, that’s just a fact of life! Relish the fun and atmosphere as best as you can, you’re always a shining star at the con!

No not at all I can tell from the tone of your post, just clarifying some things as this is my career and I know the particulars better and want to extend the severity of the situation! Because this WILL get downplayed and ignored, and it shouldn’t

exact same as your car, but less settings and more annoying. You have a lever on the floor on the “conductors side” for fresh air intake or recirculation. A cabin filter. And that’s it. Theirs also a “fresh air blower” that constantly ensures some air intake in the cabin.

040

Largen @largen.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Yes, they could have. The diesel engine very much could have choked out too, I have lost them in tunnels before. Only correcting as I want to express how much danger these guys very much were in. No fancy air handling systems for the cabin on a locomotive at all. Same as your car.

Largen @largen.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

Probably trying to make you feel more comfortable. They are very much not bomb proof or even built for that. They are tough as all hell. But not built for anything like this. Just don’t want people thinking this was safe. It’s serious and very dangerous

130

Largen @largen.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

You don’t. And in those extreme heat situations you can get what we call a “sun kink” where the (typically sun in normal cases) rail gets too hot and expands too much and overcomes the retention of the spikes/rail clips and you can come off the rails.

040

Largen @largen.bsky.social · 15/07/2026

I would like to correct you here, they are very much in danger, the locomotives are not built to withstand a bomb… just light arms fire at the windows. These new engines have a ton of sensitive electronics that could have easily shut the engine down in this situation engineer for same company here

Trying to make new paws for Spirit Haven’t sewed in many years, and wasn’t very experienced. I was never very happy with the paws Spirit had, which lead me to try and make some new ones! Got one to 90% completion yesterday. Needs work! But pretty happy of it a first time! #wickerbeast #fursuit

I have been using lower decks to get “non” Trek fans into it, it’s hilarious, fun and genuinely good sci-fi? It has great character development and motivations. And theirs SO much to see and appreciate being a long term Trek fan!
