This is Toby. He is an old man who needs you to stop talking because it's time for Matlock. Might let you pet him later if you ask politely. #Cats #Catsofbluesky #petportraits

Grey cat with a grumpy expression against a brown background.

Heeyooo. I'm offering free pet portraits to any federal employees who recently lost their jobs, as well as veterans who no longer have access to services they previously relied on. >>Will you share this post so it reaches someone who could use a happy piece of art featuring their pet? #petsofbluesky

This is Chip! He was ready to be drawn like he was in a Dutch painting, so I'm calling this one "Chip with a Pearl Earring." 😆 #petportraits #dogsofbluesky #dogs #procreateartist

This is Holly. Every night before bed she got a paw massage and gentle face wash. She was loved deeply and is missed greatly. It's an honor to draw pets for the owners who loved them so. 🐾💕 #petportrait #dogs #dogsofbluesky #goodestdogs

I finished this jar and lid, which is the latest in my series of paintings exploring light. I'm calling this one "Let the Light In." I was thinking about how important it is to be like the jar, open and able to receive the good that wants to pour into us. #artistsofbluesky #creativity #artwork

I'm calling this one "Cup of Light," and it's based on one of my old Instagram photos. For whatever reason, I really love painting mugs! #digitalart #procreate #artistsofbluesky

@flashtastic.bsky.social I don't know why you're not the face of this ad campaign! You were robbed! Both of meats AND your moment in the spotlight.

Alas, this is not a painting of a cat. But the light in this one called to me! I tried once again to keep the strokes a bit more loose. I am still learning! It's an arty adventure. #procreate #artofbluesky

This is Vesper. Her mom misses her very much. But her wise and loving energy is still all around. 🐾 💕 #petportrait #digitalart

Still practicing a more “painterly” style lately. My background in this one was inspired by oil paintings, and I let my brush strokes be more visible in the raven’s wings. Art is keeping me sane! #digitalart #procreateart #ravens

This is Sashimi! She has some vision issues but it doesn't stop her from wearing her heart on her ... shoulder! Can you even stand her little marking?! It's clearly is a sign of all the love she has to give. #catsofbluesky #petportrait

I started a new series called "Encouragement Birds" because, well, ::waves hand at everything:: I would do "Encouragement Cats" but it sort of feels like an oxymoron.

Happy Caturday! This is Bernadette! It was super fun to experiment with a looser, messier style that captured Bernadette’s energy even when she is sleeping. 😂 I hope you enjoy it! #cats #catsofbluesky #caturday

Painting of a cat sleeping on a sofa. The cat is a tortoiseshell tabby with black, grey, white, and red tones in her fur. The couch is brown and the cushions are a mustard color.

This handsome fella is Levi! He lives with @amyprobst.bsky.social and pretty much runs the show because he's just that good looking. He's one of my earlier pet portraits and still one of my faves! #catsofbluesky #petportraits

Black cat with green eyes facing toward the right. His black body is against a green background.

Back to cats! These two are Hank and Deanie, also known as "the little weirdos" by their owners. I totally got their goth, alternative vibes when I drew them, like it was 1997 and we were all in a dorm room and listening to NIN. Or maybe that's just me.

Honestly, I don't always know what to do. So I keep drawing. Even when it's just silly. Somehow, it feels like a tiny act of resistance. However you keep going is perfect. We are all out here doing the impastable. #digitalart #puns #pasta

I originally called this drawing "the morel hotel," with the ladybug checking in. :) In this version, I added text so it could be a card or print that celebrates someone's new home! Also? Morels are the coolest. #mushrooms #mushroomart #procreate

A brown and tan mushroom with large cavities in the cap that are darker in color. At the base of the mushroom is a small pink door and window with pink shutters. A ladybug stands outside with a blue suitcase. Text on the left says "hooray for your new home."

I don't always -- and I know this is going to sound bananas -- draw cats. One time I drew my dog wrapped in a dishtowel. (I call it "Pupushka.") Original photo for reference. #dogart #dogpainting

Side by side photos showing a black dog wrapped in orange dishtowel so only its face is showing. Original photo on the left, and an acrylic interpretation of it is on the right.

Salvador's mom asked me to draw him after he crossed the rainbow bridge. Instead of a traditional portrait, I felt strongly I was supposed to draw him at peace, happy in a field. His mom loved it, and said the colors even matched her house! Thank you Salvador for coming through to us.

I drew this kitteh with no teefs! His name is Paco. His grandma commissioned his portrait. He has been having some health issues lately, but is making a strong recovery. He is so brave!
