I mostly write in a cabin while the kids are at their dad's. I only keep a few changes of clothes there, so there's no big laundry pile, no teenaged athletic gear, and not as many fun craft projects to use to avoid writing. But if I'm in the zone I'll write anywhere, even defaulting to phone apps.

I use brevity essays when I teach (perfect length) and I also tell my students to start their writing time by reading anything on Brevity. Seriously some of the best writing on the net.
