I seem to have lost my spark again.

Life has been crazy lately, and I have not had any time for art. Thought I would share some of the prints i never got around to posting. Sitting in the Silence #2 #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative #grief

Sleepless Nights (Portrait of the Artist's Husband) I have been working on a series of prints based on old family photos. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #portrait #oldphotographs

Folding #2 I love the unexpected and unpredictable nature of making monoprints. This one came out looking very distressed, which I think adds more feeling to it. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative

This monoprint was made using paper cutouts, a scrap of corrugated cardboard, and a plastic bag. My studio space is beginning to look a bit like a pack rat nest....lol. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative

This print was made using 3 layers of color. Naples yellow, cadmium orange, and turquoise green. I am obsessed with all the ways these colors randomly interact with one another. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative

I really love all the textures and spontaneous paint patterns that happened in this one. I'm not as happy with the figure's face. I may try again with a faceless version of the figure. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative

I love playing with colors and textures. I often make dozens of versions of each print just to see how they look in different colors. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative #color

Collapse #2 I really enjoy the textures in the paint when I pull the secondary ghost prints. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative

I love that "Wow!" Moment when I pull a print off the plate and it's so much better than I expected 🙂 Grounded, Unraveling #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative

I experimented a little with this print. I used a lightweight handmade mulberry paper to pull the print. Then I hand tore the edges and pasted it onto a stiffer piece of textured cardstock. I like the overall distressed feel it gave the piece. #monoprint #art #printmaking

I've been playing around with a series of standing figures and orbs. Circles seem to always find their way into my work. They are great for playing with balance in my compositions. #monoprint Acrylic on Paper #art #printmaking #abstractfigurative
