And I admire all of that! I just wonder how expensive it is for you currently and if you can see yourself being able to support an exponential influx of users with the funds you're gettting (which based on your response seems to just be charity which isnt a solely bad thing)

almost a year later, where am i at? 🧵 - the equivalent of sammi buttons are fully functional, commands are easy to implement. - expressions are fully implemented with additional features - runtime type safety (sortof) - from-scratch drag and drop pretty much done - frontend talks to backend

maxx throttle, on average, has you going so much faster than in gx, so a lot of gx tech is required to handle it but. if you can handle the speed, this game becomes impossible to put down

on my inspirations and how I approach software development:

discord message from my server saying "almost all of the work that inspired me growing ip was done by people who were outcasts for their grand ideas and fixation, and, through several years of their life, realized their dreams and changed the world. Daisuke Amaya, creator of Cave Story, revolutionized indie games forever. he made his own music app, graphics, game engine, scripting language, sound design, EVERYTHING. he didnt pay big industry bucks to get proprietary engines or anything. he owned everything; and it made its way onto the wii shop. he's my biggest inspiration. And in the end? made it free. the original version is still free to this day.

i mean hell im making the replacement tool for thousands of streamers worldwide, all jusf because i didnt agree with the direction and the treatment. its been 8 months now. still workin' on it. (ffoxes shrug emote) thats just how life is sometimes. You have to be delusional until it isnt.

I have to do this because ive looked at every drag and drop library for my tech stack and unfortunately a lot of them just have entirely vibe-coded basic features and are a monstrosity under the hood riddled with so many bugs and miles of unnecessary code it hurts my head heals the syndrome though!

working on a mod for KilaFlow and I found this snippet of timer code where if you go over 60 minutes in a level it replaces the timer with "WHAT THE **** ARE YOU DOING???" but it immediately overwrites itself in the next line... ...fixing it to apply AFTER time gets set looks like this in game LOL

And here's the big one. We really wanted to clean up the presentation of the commands workspace. A huge goal of all these mockups was trying to get rid of old lioranboard-esque design principles and use our own while staying true to what users cared about. This was one of many mockups for commands.

As mentioned above, there was concepts of an overhaul going on for the main dashboard. We wanted to move all connections into one consolidated place, with consistency for how each connection would be added and managed. We had this kind of drop-down thing going on for each service.

Here is something users wanted for a long time: Deck "albums"! we didn't wanna call it folders as to try to fit the theming of "deck" but, was very much a wip. Never came to be but, there was a lot of back and forth about how it would've been implemented. Also complete dashboard overhaul!!!

This was concept art for something that actually did end up making it into the final app. The settings menu used to be one really long window that started to cut itself off so we needed something with categories and scroll capabilities. I drew this original mockup then digi programmed it in! wow!
