NMJ recovers, JGY does not, everyone else needs therapy after All That but it's a happy ending for Wangxian, Nielan, NHS and the frankenfamily so the majority wins. Sorry Jiggy.

JGY takes a scalpel and tries to take WWX hostage, Wangxian end up confessing in the middle of it all, LXC (the neuroanesthesiologist) ends up stabbing JGY to save everyone and WWX completes the surgery successfully even if the OR is in chaos, because he's just *that* brilliant.

When the now famous frankenfamily take the case, JGY worries that this may end up badly for him, so he infiltrates the hospital as a tech and attempt to mess with the drugs to make the surgery fail and NMJ die, but NHS intervenes and reveals everything in a dramatic moment right there on the OR.

(I know that's not realistic for so long but this is fiction) Before WWX's achievement, there had been no hope of recovery, but NHS hadn't been ready to say goodbye yet, so NMJ stayed connected to machines and slowly deteriorated while NHS collected evidence against JGY and plotted revenge.

Eventually all the team gets involved in a particular case: NMJ has been brain dead for a very long time after a stroke (that was deliberately caused by JGY to silence NMJ when he discovered some of JGY's secret and evil shenanigans). NHS has been keeping his brother connected for years.

Of course Wangxian end up having a possibly drunken one night stand after spending so much time together, but due to canon levels of misunderstandings, both believe the other didn't really mean it and their unresolved sexual/romantic tension is off the charts.

The juniors are involved somehow. They are the occupational therapist, psychologist, language therapist, vocational counselor or other such support roles. JC is an electrophysiologist because Zidian reminds me of it lol. He's not directly involved but may be consulted sometimes when necessary.

I think WWX will always dislike the Frankenstein comparisons but he does call this close group his frankenfamily. LWJ insists they stop using Wangxian.mp3 for this and rather look into other musical alternatives lol.

*WQ is the specialist on organ and tissue transplants in cases where the subject was previously declared brain dead. *LWJ is the neuroscientist specialized in recovery for such cases. * WN eventually becomes a specialist on physical therapy rehabilitation after such a procedure.

Wangxian and friends end up studying and analyzing this case together until eventually they manage to do it again, and again, and develop the whole process for recovery from brain death. *WWX performs the surgery to reactivate the brain matter.

LWJ's flawless reputation in association with the case and his careful documentation of everything help to clear up the rumours and debates about WWX's achievement. In the end, it's recognized that WWX simply achieved the impossible.

In the end, as WN's recovery continues, he starts depending less and less on WWX and LWJ feels slightly less possessive. But this opportunity brings Wangxian back into each other's orbits and soon they start getting closer on a personal capacity.

LWJ had been in love with WWX since pre-med and now he feels a tiny bit jealous of WN's dependency on WWX and the rumours about WQ, but also he recognizes WWX's genius so of course he helps. And suddenly WN gets better even if they have to use the old love song LWJ composed for WWX long ago.

Anyway in this AU LWJ is a NMT (neurologic music therapist) and he starts getting involved in WN's rehabilitation after WWX hits a roadblock on WN's progress. Basically it's only until Wangxian work together that they manage the biggest breakthrough and WN responds fully.

Meanwhile, WN is all sweetness and kindness as he recovers, practically this (without the subsequent trauma):

Then again, imagine this revolutionary talent, obviously people are not ready for WWX's amazing powers and WQ's fierce protectiveness, so of course they acquire a kinda dark fame while the world decides if they believe the case is actually real or just another media lie.

Besides, WQ is ferociously fighting for her brother's life too. Once WN is brought back, she gets deeply involved in his care and the transplants, even if WWX tells her she shouldn't. The rumours that sorround her eventually sound far too much like "Bride of Frankenstein".

...Except for the fact that WWX dotes on WN and is deeply involved in his recovery. He's a cinnamon roll! He needs to be protected from everything and everyone! WWX would never behave like Frankenstein and WN is not dangerous at all, so he dislikes the comparisons.

Maybe WN was attacked and spent far too much time without any help afterwards, so besides spending too much time without brain oxygenation, he also loses organs/tissue and requires several transplants afterwards. People treat WWX and WN as a modern Frankenstein and his creature.

I think the doggos have figured out how to turn on the heated blanket. It's on the couch and lately I've noticed that they step on the control and turn it on, and I thought it was an accident. But looking at them napping so comfortably on top of it I wonder if it's actually accidental?
