It's definitely a change up from the older games, it makes sense that a lot of people will bounce off of Dread quickly given how different it is.

Star Wars Zero Company is a wonderful X-Com adventure wrapped in one of the better modern Star Wars stories. On PS5 it is also a buggy mess that left me constantly worried that the best crash or game-breaking bug was right around the corner. My review: www.talontrotgames.com/star-wars-ze...

It is fun seeing a lot of that stuff. The reveal of the chainsaw lancer was great. I'm sure a bigger fan than I will have a lot more of those moments throughout the game.

I typically keep to two or three tops. This is my current "main" game, but I can only play when I'm able to sit down in front of the gaming TV. So I find other stuff to fill in the gaps when that's not possible. A game has to really grab me to have it be the only one in my rotation.

I'm 10 missions into Ace Combat 8. It's great! I've only played two other games in the series (2&4, both this year) but 8 feels exactly like you'd want the series to feel like with modern consoles. Fun mission variety/structures, a more compelling story, better unlock system, same great gameplay.

Played a few hours of Gears of War E-Day. Another that will probably get put on the backburner soon. It's a lot of fun. Classic Gears styles, seeing the actual E-Day event was a fun opening chapter. Sometimes, running around shooting monsters with crazy guns is just a fun time.

- Tracks are fun with very small alt routes, some can really help - Boost system is interesting - three vehicle typed all feel unique It is a good, fun racing game. I'm curious to see how the whole thing holds up at some point, but the baseline idea and gameplay are strong.

I'm probably not going to get enough time with Star Wars Galactic Racer to see it all anytime soon, but I have done a few runs, so some thoughts: - Roguelike racer doesn't sound appealing to me, but I actually really like the structure - Burnout + Motorstorm gameplay - Feels great and fast

Either Metal Gear Rising or Pikmin 3 for me. Any other Pikmin and I would have picked Metal Gear, but I gotta go with Pikmin 3 because there's so much to do in that game.

Current gaming playlist: - Ace Combat 8 - Tony Hawk's Pro Skater 2 - Gears of War E-Day - Final Fantasy II - Zelda Ocarina of Time Quite a spread, but each one can only be played in certain situations. Such as FFII and OoT which my son is also playing so I can't get too far ahead.

Roll credits on Metroid Dread Even better the second time. I did more stuff this time through and appreciated the little puzzles around finding these extra items. Silky smooth controls are the highlight, it feels great to run around and fight everything. EMMIs and blocking paths I could use less of

Played a bit of this last night. I don't think I actually played it as a kid but definitely remember the marketing behind it. It's not bad at all, but would work significantly better as a twin stick shooter (see: Apocalypse). Lack of a zoom-out map makes things more tedious than they need to be.

Roll credits on Bushido Blade 2 #PS1 Cheating because it only takes like 30 minutes, but I finally gave this a try after picking it up a while ago. I feel like the original is better, but by the end of the story mode run I was having a good time with this.

Spent a decent chunk of time with two games today: Well Dweller: excited to play this but don't feel like playing for too long in a single session. MGS Peace Walker: not super drawn to sit down and play this, but can't put it down once I start. Not sure what this says about me or the games.

Stellar Blade has some of the best hack and slash combat I've played. It does some pretty fun stuff a bit outside of the typical formula. Good game, hope you enjoy

Played about 90 minutes of Well Dweller. A fun, comfy Metroidvania. It has some interesting mechanics but nothing groundbreaking early on. Combat is tough but that's mostly me just learning the mechanics. Great visual style. It's on GamePass.
