Thursday morning Nancy would like to thank Wednesday evening Nancy for remembering to put the windshield cover on the car. The ice wasn't bad but the cover meant the windshield was clear so I didn't have to scrape or defrost before leaving for work.

More backyard activity. The ground birds left and the juncos returned. Then a ten-minute burst of icing. Then the juncos came back. Then a beautiful hawk swooped in (and missed). Landed and stood there for a minute so we could admire him. And now the snow has started.

There is an actual robin in my backyard.... Wait. No, there are one...two...three...four...FIVE robins in my backyard. We rarely see any. We get juncos, chickadees, cardinals this time of year, but rarely robins. Maybe it's because the snow melted in 1/2 the yard and they can reach the bugs?

It is 38° with rain showers. The temps will drop later, which means the wet will freeze and then we are expecting it to change to snow. Hmm, snow over ice - no way that'll be dangerous, right? I do work tomorrow so the commute should be fun. Be safe out there my DC-area peeps!

Gotta get in a #Caturday post before the day ends. This is Lady. My partner rescued her as an abandoned kitten from a feral colony behind his work. She is a diva, an adorable gremlin. Her purr can be heard across the room. Her fur is very fine and silky soft. She makes wonderful biscuits.

Got to play with some airplane parts today. I'm in sales so I don't get to do it often. Had some OT offered to help the warehouse receive in several crates of parts, from tiny rivets to pieces of the fuselage. Many hands made light work. And coffee and donuts helped, too.
