I took a hard fall six weeks ago in a pothole I couldn't see because of heavy rain and landed on my shoulder. Six weeks later it still screams in pain if I do the wrong thing or, crucially, sleep the wrong way. The ankles I twisted in process of going down aren't doing so hot either. Age sucks.
