Always be grateful for love, And to all the people that you have loved over the years, The ones who have comforted you, And have tamed your endless fears. Always be grateful for love, From all your family and your friends, The ones who have picked you up when you’re down, For the ones who helped you live, and breathe again. Always be grateful for love, And cherish the ones who are gone forever, The ones who are always in your heart, And the ones you will always treasure. Always be grateful for love, For the sunshine and the rain, For storms that produce the most growth in life, And for the ones that kept you sane. Always be grateful for love, Which is the greatest emotional trip ever, On a vast journey, so independent, Having loved, so you can’t say you’ve never. Always be grateful for love, In that you had real love every single day, Because times will suddenly change, And things won’t always be that way. Always be grateful for love, Not just during one month out of the year, In all our days, we should be loving others, And to all the days we should hold them dear. The poem is a monument to love in the month of February. Love isn’t always beautiful. Love isn’t always joyful. Love is downright cruel and painful to endure. Yet, we live, we love, and cherish those loved ones or relationships that have gone away. Always be grateful for love in whatever form it comes in.Thank you for reading.
