Laiwanette @laiwanette.bsky.social · 31/08/2025Why is the advice individualistic — for each person to stop eating meat to save the climate? Instead the way we industrially relate to meat should be systemically changed. Stop capitalist exploitation & production for profit with its focus on low quality for mass quantity. 110 0

Laiwanette @laiwanette.bsky.social · 19/08/2025While decolonization is not a metaphor, it is also not a performance. It demands immediate actions: settlers accept stepping aside, giving back, opening positions, giving healthy resources freely (if it’s been polluted or corrupted, fix it), provide capacity, stop taking up space, stop explaining. 000 0

Laiwanette @laiwanette.bsky.social · 30/07/2025The narrative that “everything is getting more expensive” is so that everything can become more expensive. It is more expensive because we have given license for it to become expensive. Find the shopkeepers who are not price gouging you. Treat generous businesses well. Be selective & support local. 120 0

Direct focus on the opponent as an opponent legitimates the opponent’s stance so gaining more energy from you. This is true beyond the martial arts. Laiwanette @laiwanette.bsky.social · 24/03/2025Definition of oligarchy, “government by the few, especially despotic power exercised by a small and privileged group for corrupt or selfish purposes.” I see comments assume oligarchy means to be ruled by the rich. No, let the definition be clear. It is to be ruled by a despotic few who rule badly. 140 0
