Trump’s new 9/11 rescue story is an excellent example of “trimming.” He never explicitly says he was there on 9/11, but gives just enough info to help you infer it. He was down there a few days later. Bill Clinton was pretty good at this, but never to this scale or on such a topic.

Watching our approach to this conflict with Iran, I am reminded of a time when we killed every soldier in North Vietnam three times. Counting bombs and bodies is not strategic. Soldiers vs soldiers is not the same as country vs country. Trump and Hegseth are amateurs. Rubio is right to steer clear.
