Fellow digital artists: I’m rethinking my cintiq/ipad combo. I have a 16” cintiq pro, and a regular size iPad. But I want a bigger screen on one of them. Should I get the large cintiq (amazing tool, soooo much desk space), or just the xl iPad (not as nice as cintiq, but more portable).

I went to a big car dealership today and they had a giant chocolate cake just SITTING THERE, one or two slices eaten. Everyone was just sitting there quietly, ignoring the cake. Me: ‘You guys have cake?!’ A woman said ‘ha ha, ya we do!’ And then went back to work.

Recovering from an emergency appendectomy a week ago, followed by lung complications which put me back in ER. I left the house for the first time today, to go to the craft/art supply store. All my climbing and travel plans cancelled this month, I’ll go stir crazy otherwise.

Years ago, walking around an LA on a sweltering October day, there was a guy in full Halloween costume, head and all, dancing slowly & shaking a sign for Spirit. “You doing ok?” I asked. With deep resignation and sadness he said: “It’s a job [dance dance] ..They pay me”. I think about him a lot.
