Canada is sharing half of the bridge's operating *profits*, not revenues. And guess what: the operating profits in the early years of a new toll bridge aren't going to be very significant, since most of the revenues will be attached to paying down its costs. Kenney knows this, of course.

Doug Ford's government is betting big on nuclear energy. Danielle Smith's government prefers natural gas. Neither seems to want to do the actual conservative thing: letting the market decide.

Just complete nonsense. The federal NDP and Bloc Quebecois are not "fringe parties" -- they win dozens of seats every election. The Alberta separatists have never won a single one federally, and only one at the provincial level. And yet, the premier is allowing them to dictate her entire agenda.

As to "strangling" Alberta's economy? Again: it was the collapse in global energy prices that did the damage. The federal government bought and built the single most important infrastructure project in Alberta's history -- one that immediately raised the profits of its oil sector.

This isn't how our constitution or the Notwithstanding Clause works. There are certain Charter rights that can't be invalidated by a legislative override, and that also includes Section 35 treaty rights. Shouldn't the premier -- especially one who constantly uses the NWC -- know this? #abpoli

Even by Poilievre's standards this is just an absurd misrepresentation of reality. Carney left the Bank of England in early 2020. Inflation didn't take off in the UK until mid-2021 -- the same as every other economy on earth.
