If aliens arrived tomorrow, what’s the first thing you’d ask them? I would ask them if they know Jesus.

If you could start a new business right now, what would it be? This is a hard one. I have two ideas. One would be a bead shop, because I enjoy making beaded jewelry. The second idea would be a small book store. The same goes with this. I love books and writing. Perhaps I would also have a writing corner in the book store where writers can go to write, learn, and/or have group writing sessions.

What are your best healthy eating habits? I focus more on salad and small portions.

How do you write what people actually want to read? There are readers in every genre. So whatever genre you choose to write in, there will be people who will want to read what you write. Keep in mind that not everyone will want to read what you write because everyone is different. That having been said, you have to know what is trending.

If you had to switch lives with a fictional character for a week, who would you choose? I'd switch lives with my own fictional character Nadira. She's had it rough, but the adventures she gets to go on are amazing.

What’s the best advice you’d give to someone younger than you? You're not always right. You don't know everything. Stop and listen.

What’s your best tip for budget travel? Make a list of expenses. Set money aside from your paychecks months in advance. Pay down credit cards if they aren't already. Delegate what your credit card will pay for and what your saved money will pay for.

Who is your favorite cartoon character? I have tongobwith the the Road Runner and Yosemite Sam.

If your pet could talk, what would be the first thing it says? My cat would say, "You're sitting in my seat." (Pictured below) My cat Chuckie

What’s the best and worst airport you’ve been to? Best: Detroit (DTW) Worst: Chicago O'Hara (ORD)

Below are some photos of part of our road trip driving through northern Idaho and Montana.

Share a hobby you’ve picked up recently — what got you into it? I didn't pick up a hobby recently, but I do have one. I enjoy making beaded jewelry. Over the years I went to various craft shows selling my pieces. Below are some examples.

If you could relive one day from your past, which day would it be and why? I would relive the day I chose to move to Kansas from Michigan to take another job. Had I stayed in the job/career I was at in Michigan, I would have moved up the latter. Kansas, even though the job I had there was good and beneficial, other factors in my life didn't run out so well.

Titanic made me cry. I will never watch it a second time. The whole real life story of the ship itself was such a tragedy that could have been prevented. That's the sad part. What’s the last movie that made you cry?

If you could erase one event from history, what would it be? If an event in history gets erased, it would affect the future. The present would somehow be different, maybe for the better or maybe for the worst. It's a chance taken. I will say this, if WWII hadn't happened I might not be here because my father may not have immigrated here as a result. Then again maybe he still would have. Again, messing with the past would be a chance taken.
