Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 17hWas checking a github repo from one of my old university projects and you can tell exactly when's the deadline by the frequency of commits per day and the degradation of grammar in the commit messages. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 18hI decided to call that thread "Grilled Cheese chronicles" because why not. Here's another grilled cheese suggestion while I am it : 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 18hGot a new suggestion, bit of a gold mine imo: Regrettably it's an old twitter thread but I am seeing potential in it twitter.com/tinymediaemp... Original source where I found that thread: pleated-jeans.com/2024/10/28/1...twitter.com 100
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 05/10/2026Remembering the good times when I descended to hell to use SOAP. Good on you devs that use SOAP, my mental health couldn't 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 04/10/2026OH , it's back back then ! I've been rationing the latest episode in case next one takes time (And because I eat far too quickly to listen to the whole thing in one go lol ) 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 04/10/2026Problem is there are a lot of moving parts and lack of transparency around AI development to tell where its use and accessibility will shift. So it's hard to tell if the AI will kill us all, will become inaccessible as the bubble bursts or stay in some middle ground / get heavy regulations (Doubt) 110
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 04/10/2026AI is quite the volatile industry right now. It hasn't stabilised the way people think and the tech giants are only pretending it is to keep money flowing and hope they start making a profit. Free and accessible high level AI tools aren't going to last when compute power is costing so much. 110
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 30/09/2026I see, it's particularly the chemicals used on top the paper that worry me a bit. But I guess as long as you're not adding paper to your daily diet you should be mostly fine. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 30/09/2026Genuine question , people can actually eat paper ? Or is it like edible kind of prop paper. I know adults can do what they want but I feel like there should be some health concerns, no ? 101
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 29/09/2026The "Meat Proxy" phenomenon is not exactly the word I thought this behavior would be called.. but it makes sense gruhn.me/blog/2026-08...gruhn.meNiklas Gruhn - Don't be a meat proxy 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 29/09/2026YouTube's mobile UI is either an embarrassing feat of design or a stroke of genuis in manipulation. I keep finding out I accidentally subscribed to YT channels without noticing because it's so easy to slip and click the subscribe button while you're scrolling posts or watching a video. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 28/09/2026Sony has been at it with patents lately. Soon enough they'll hand you a credit card reader with a joystick and call it "Pay as you play" controller. I know it's just a patent but it's shit PR when you're actively playing competitive "shoot yourself in the foot" with Xbox. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Fuck it I'll burn my backups to DVDs like a real man, let's see AI making those expensive 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Seriously, every time I try research the most reliable long term storage and backup solutions I end up on r/DataHoarder. Their solutions hardly work for the small scale of my data (Relatively speaking...500 ish GBs is rookie numbers down there) 110
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Storage aint cheap either so I have a headache just thinking about doing a new backup with half reliable storage solutions because I can't be damned to buy redundant storage in 2026...nor can I afford it 100
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Bashing my head over the struggle to update windows. Think about updating window-> Check if it'll break anything this time -> Fall down a rabbit hole of KB numbers and lists of known issues -> "I should backup just in case"-> "Oh god I have so much to backup" -> "It can wait" Rinse and repeat 100
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026However, there are cases where the slow load times comes from depending on slow external APIs . I worked on a system that had to wait about 20s to fetch data from a core banking API that we had no control over. Workarounds can only be described as smoke and mirrors. 150
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Spaghetti begets spaghetti. Often you're too deep in it that it's easier to just scrap the whole section and rebuild from scratch then to optimize it and correct the "tempory" decisions taken. And of course hardly will management allocate that kind of time when the next deadline is approaching. 160
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Plenty of reasons from the little experience I had: poorly managed resources, outdated components running on life support, spaghetti code cooked up thanks to pressing deadlines and "We'll optimize this process in the next release", spoilers, that rarely happens. 170
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 27/09/2026Can't do that, I think I still haven’t returned one book to my local library that I took back when I was 10 and at this point I am too afraid to know what my punishment would be. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 26/09/2026I think I expected like a cash register sound maybe, but reading it out loud worked too lol 010
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 25/09/2026I have come to terms with the fact that unfortunately companies know more about me than I know myself. So much of our activities are tied to the internet. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 24/09/2026My spotify has been glitched for a while so I have been greeted by the "WE ARE NOT BACK" title every day for the last 3 months. I think it's trying to throw shade at you or something 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Frankly it feels wrong to way "Don't support genocide" is an option...It's not OPTIONAL It's the HUMAN thing to do. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Poor thing couldn't find people to support his spinless acts trying to be neutral when "Don't support genocide" is one of the options. He wants people to think he's somehow the victim here which is disgusting. 100
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 22/09/2026"And make it look human made, make no mistakes and fix my marriage while you're at it, thanks" 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 22/09/2026Pictures are doing your height judtice. I didn't realize you were that tall lol. Egyptian/Dutch 2m tall guy looking down at you must be an experience 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 16/09/2026Each of these appeared in a separate day like a fucking slow infestation. Multi-billion dollar company by the way, begging you to use their AI because AI is definitely not a bubble. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 15/09/2026I found this icon while searching on Iconify. I wonder if anyone actually used it in a website design or something... 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 15/09/2026In general it seems to me that heating stuff is way simpler and quicker than freezing stuff. There must be some scientific explanation because I can not claim to know it. So yea my bets are on the toaster too 380
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 14/09/2026It can't come any sooner. The world looks beautiful too (Despite the smoke I guess) 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 13/09/2026I am merging pdfs (contain academic papers) with a python script because I refused to install a sketchy software for a one time use...not sure I can show much sadly 050
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 11/09/2026How come I heard of steam leaking unreleased titles but not this. Wasn't there a fan project released recently that is portal 2 but it's the beta stuff and early story and they fully polished it ? Unless it's related to this and I've been living under a rock 001
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 09/09/2026So AOS can even simulate snow ? That's neat and definitely not scary to be at the hands of questionable AI lol. There are a lot of ways to make snow impact gameplay and other enemies, I am sure you guys will make something good out of it 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 09/09/2026Hello Jeaney, been a while since I suggested something (Am I the only one suggesting stuff ?) This one is fresh and I have a proper source too . Could be an interesting read lol : youtube.com/post/UgkxxIr...youtube.comPost from Good Work - YouTubeA statement from Anthropic’s Director of K*lling People 110
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 09/09/2026And people wonder why smart TVs are relatively cheap. Anti-consumer practices to extract every penny out of the casual person have become the norm in this depressing fuck of a world we live in. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 08/09/2026What the hell happened in that stream I am out of the loop regarding Zelda 011
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Smart TVs ? Guess what they've gotten cheaper thesz years yes, but wanna know why ? Because their profit is now the data they collect using the baked in spyware that's very hard to disable or even be sure actually got disabled. I can keep going it's so sad 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Like how come no matter how much money you spend on a car you're still getting spyware baked in , cheap plastic in every corner they can put and put as little physical buttond as possible to save costs while still charging an arm and a leg. This example applies to a lot of other things 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Laptops, cars , Smart TVs ,... Everything seems like is being manufactured as CHEAP as possible to save costs while still charging you the same price you'de expect from a decent durable device and it's getting to a point where we're just used to it which isn't normall. 000
Kz @kzdotwave.bsky.social · 06/09/2026Is there a term for how every product you buy in the modern day is trying to rip you off in some capacity no matter how cheap or expensive / the brand name is ? I swear I don't remember things being this...hostile to consumers. Examples : (1/2) 300
