I saw the tag and wondered about that. Where do they tag and monitor strays? Here if it’s a catch and release cat colony they notch or tattoo an ear. Dogs just get taken in and killed. Sucks.

I don’t think he hated her. It would have almost been better if she had the respect of his hate. There are an awful lot of people out there that just don’t see women as people, rather as some sort of fancy animal that are pretty and can be kept compliant by using certain cheat codes.

It’s like that in VT. Docs can say the patient is disabled but stable, needs review in x months or just valid for a set time. People with permanent disabilities aren’t bothered about it again.

It’s very true that people with permanent disabilities don’t get better, but they are also used by people who have transient problems… and it’s a good thing to attempt to limit placards so they can’t be used indefinitely after death or if stolen.

When I was 4, I got into a big argument with my mother. I had just learned the concept of ‘infinity’ and asked her if there were infinity trees. She said no. I asked her how many there were, then. She said she didn’t know. I was LIVID that she could be so confident without hard numbers.

The number of people who think that poverty is a moral failing is insane. Too many people think that the answer to poor people is to punish the poverty out of them. Surely if they are subjected to enough shame and pain they will stop pooring where anyone ‘decent’ will be subjected to seeing it.

Not sure, but my wife was happy to find a green laser light scope with the proper specs because it can be used as an emergency signal as well, visible at 8 miles. She’s very into camping and hiking safety.
