This is the Cartier piece I would buy if I had more money than sense!

A Cartier necklace featuring the signature panther with lots of diamonds and emeralds.

I don't want to get out of bed. Rosie has buried under the doona and she's just resting against me with her head on my thigh. She hasn't done this before. Hubby has gone to TAFE. But I will need to get up soon as I have a busy day.

I have quite a few Iris this year. I love the colour.

A cluster of bright purple iris flowers sitting on top of their green stems there are many other plants in and around them.

Emergency! Emergency! Chocolate required and @nigella.bsky.social's emergency chocolate brownies fit the bill! Two small brownies which could easily be cut on half. But, maybe not!

A small chocolate brownie that is round in shape and is beautifully crusted on top. I am hoping the centre is soft and gooey

Even though it's getting darker and it's grey and it's wet outside I am going to leave my curtains open for a while because I do enjoy the look of a wet garden. The new location for my wall garden is a nice view as well.

A garden view showing green grass in the foreground and in the background there are several shrubs and then a wall garden with lots of green vegetation. There are steps of the left of the picture. These are leading up to another part of the garden.

For the very first time in my career, I have had a very senior executive use an idea that I had and not acknowkedge that it was mine. I'm not going to make a fuss but I will let my manager know it was my idea as she commented it was a great idea.

Amongst all the afternoon excitement I managed to cook RTE's slow cooker pork loin with a honey butter sauce. And, there's plenty of left over meat for dinner tomorrow night.

A plate of pork loin slices, mashed potato, cauli, broccoli, beans & carrot all smothered in a dark sauce.

A bit wet today. I managed to get some marigolds yesterday and they have been planted. A bit of rain is good for them.

I succumbed to buying some AFL 'Kylie' merchandise. I've bought 'Team Kylie' caps for hubby and I, a 'Kylie' tote bag for my manager as I will be seeing her in November. I wanted a 'Kylie' football for her husband as he is sports mad but they are delayed in delivery and I won't get it in time.

It's very warm and muggy in Melbourne. Apollo does not like the heat. We need to leave the house earlier for our walks.

I hate corporate sometimes. One of my very close colleagues has just been let go he has been like manager twice and I have worked with him for 17 years across two companies. I understand the reasons but it's very disappointing.

In a spare few hrs this afternoon we visited hubby's nephew in his new home. It's on a very bush like setting. It's going to be a lot of work to maintain but he loves it and he has got a few friendly neighbors that he is training to come to the window.

This garden was full of massive 20 meter tall trees that were lifting the driveway and just causing a big mess. I coordinated with the neighbours to share the cost to cut them down after getting a tree report and council permit. There's now a fence here and I'm planting small shrubs and grasses.

I've come to a gardening talk at the local nursery it was $15 but then you get $15 voucher to spend on plants. I also found $50 on the footpath on my walk. So, I stopped at my other favourite nursery where you can fill a box for only $50. What a great way to spend the morning.

A box of about 13 plants. Mini of them are Lomandra Lime Wave, also Philotheca, and a few others.
