#LetsGoBuffalo finds themselves in a situation where they may be weighing playing Konsta Helenius for a spark vs burning a year off his ELC. There is an argument to be made burning the year is actually a better move for their LT cap. www.afpanalytics.com/post/the-bur...

Nashville Predators and Justus Annunen agree to a 2 year, $1.25M AAV contract. This is perfectly fine for a backup goalie.

#GoJetsGo lock in their captain. 5 years, $5M per year. The AAV is well above out projection from May but with the rising cap and extra years, it isn't surprising. This is very close to the going market rate for reliable 3Cs, which Lowry certainly is. #NHL

Logan Cooley & the Utah Mammoth have agreed to an extension. A little above projected AAV, but makes sense with an extra UFA year bought. He’s the first of the star ELC RFA centers to sign, setting the market! #NHL #TusksUp

Solid deal for Marcus Pettersson and the Canucks. The top 4 Dman gets an extra year over projection, but that may have allowed Vancouver to keep the AAV down. In our eyes, this is fair for both sides. #Canucks #NHL

Brett Howden signed a 5 year, $2.5M AAV contract to stay with Vegas. We did not expect to see this type of term for Howden. AAV considering the length is fine but definitely an unexpected contract.
