Top candidate question: "do you support SCOTUS reform?" (A) Top SCOTUS nominee question: "What are your views on significantly, and yes - retroactively - curtailing Presidential pardon power?"

"Paid in beer" has to be a top-3 form of payment. Might even be the winner when it comes to being paid to do a hobby.

"We've decided personnel before deciding the nature of the operation" doesn't scream 'solid strategic planning,' either.

Me: "Oh, look, @isanet.bsky.social sent an email about discussing the new Institutional Relationships policy. They didn't attach it, though?" Me, a few minutes later: "Huh, it isn't listed in the policies section of the website, either." Me, reviewing the meeting minutes: "Ohhh. Got it. 🙄"

"It" doesn't want to do shit. It's a tool. Does a hammer "want" to frame a painting? And the only helping here is Meta helping itself to your data.
A screenshot from the linked article, reading: "Muse wants to help. It's an AI agent, a tool that goes out into the world for unsupervised tasks."

SCOTUS will clarify that when they said "return the issue to the states," that they didn't mean all the states.

In fact, the paperclip has always been on the org charge. Questioning the paperclip's place on the org chart is an antisocial and irresponsibile behavior.

A quick note about that (blatantly fucking illegal) ad: one of the hallmarks of a competitive authoritarian system is the uneven playing field, where the regime uses state resources to 'stack the deck' against the opposition.

I wouldn't be shocked if one limit is that US universities are less willing to rent out space like that (and it would require moving to a term break). But if the alternative is "hotel based conference attended by the 15 departments who can pay sky high registration & hotel partner fees..."
