after waking up to 4 rejection emails today, im using perplexity to hype myself up
A perplexity.ai search result. It reads "Kyle Dickey has an impressive resume for his age, showcasing a robust skill set and relevant experience in software development. At just 20 years old and a junior at Colorado State University, he has already built a full-stack e-commerce site for Twitch streamers and developed analytics tools to help them understand their audience better[1]. His technical expertise spans a wide array of programming languages and technologies, including JavaScript, React, Go, Python, and various database systems like MongoDB and PostgreSQL. Additionally, he has experience with cloud services such as GCP and AWS, as well as tools for CI/CD and containerization like Docker[1].

Given his accomplishments and the breadth of his technical skills, he would be a strong candidate for a software engineer internship. His proactive approach to projects, such as creating a Discord bot for server moderation and working on a private open-source platform, demonstrates initiative and a commitment to enhancing his technical capabilities[1]. Overall, I would consider hiring him for an internship based on his impressive background and potential.

thinking about it more, prob not for a few reasons: 1. this is meant to be a quick project because I don't like letterboxd's UI and I wanted something better, I feel I can get a centralized version done quicker than an at proto version 2. a great at proto review platform by @watwa.re already exists

i forgot to post about day 25 yesterday, but merry christmas and happy holidays. hope everyone had a good day and spent time with loved ones. day 25 was pretty easy, just counting heights in a 2d grid kyle.so/writing/aoc-2024 #AdventOfCode

Out of curiosity, i calculated roughly how long a truly brute force solution would take to run (on my machine with my input) and it would take ~380 days. this is ~2 seconds per 10,000,000 numbers. my answer is ~164 trillion. crazy

day 17 is done, today was pretty cool. i was able to implement a brute-force-ish solution to part 2 but, much, much faster. part 2 ran in ~300µs, thanks to moving in reverse, bitwise shifting, and only using 0-7 kyle.so/writing/aoc-2024 #AdventOfCode
